When did you discover that you were a medium and different than others?
When I was in my early 20's. I was is in Hawaii and while at dinner with some friends, I was introduced to a friend of a friend and we all began talking about the amazing kayak ride we had just been on. I heard a woman's voice telling me to tell her son, the guy I had just met, to start grieving over her death and to start joking around with her again. I ignored the voice thinking I was making it all up until the voice became so loud that I ended up telling him. He knew exactly who it was and he started to tear up. He said his mother passed 3 months back and he was the only child in the family that did not grieve over her passing. He also said he was the only child that would joke around with her, and that they had a special relationship. Did you study under other mediums to develop your gift? If so, with whom? James Van Praagh and Robert Brown. Both whom I have known for years. We are all close friends and they helped guide me with my gift. What is the difference between a medium and a psychic? Mediums are always psychic, but NOT all psychics are mediums. How long should a person wait for a reading after someone passes? I'd say between 2-3 months is sufficient. I like to give the person who has passed enough time to get adjusted to being on Spirit side. Is the session scary and will spirit tell something that could upset the bereaved? All sittings are of love. Never has it been scary for myself or my sitters. Have you ever done a reading where no spirit came through for your client? Yes, it has only happened about five times. I immediately ended the sitting and told my client that I was not seeing anything nor hearing anyone. How do you handle someone who is skeptic? In all my sittings I tell my clients that the less the Medium knows the better. I ask my clients during all sittings to sit back and relax and let me tell them who is there. Skeptics at this point realize that I would not know some of the things that come through, especially personal details and memories, and they usually become believers.
| Do you feel you have to prove there is an afterlife awaiting us?
In my sittings, I just tell my clients who is there with vivid and accurate details that proves to them that their loved ones are there with us. At the end of the sittings, the client knows there is an afterlife. Do you believe you are a mediator between here and what some refer to as the "other side"? Yes, that is what a medium does. The word medium derives its origins from the Latin language (medius) which means middle. Mediums are in the middle between earth and Spirit side. Does it take diplomacy, patience and communication skills? If so, do you have a background in communication? It takes much patience and good listening skills. Mediums must listen to what they are being told. Sometimes the loved ones invited in do not show up until the end of the sitting. Both the medium and sitter must have patience. I read you had a dream of Mother Teresa which prompted you to go to India to meet her. Can you elaborate on your experience with her? Did she empower you to do mediumship? Yes, when I was in College I had a very vivid dream of being in India with Mother Teresa. Three months later, I was in Calcutta working with her. Everything that happened in my dream was the exact way it played out when I met her. I, at that time, was opening up to Spirit and becoming much more sensitive and did not even know it. What do you feel is awaiting us after death? All of our friends, loved ones and our pets who have passed, all standing there awaiting our arrival. What is your concept of the transition? Going from one doorway to the next. It is like opening your front door and walking outside to the beauty of your yard. How do spirits communicate with you? Do they appear in a physical form? Some show their bodies, others will only speak. Some will send forth familiar smells that will prove that it is them. Do you believe in reincarnation? If so, have you experienced any that would relate to you being a medium in this life? Yes. We have all been both male and female. We incarnate to have as many experiences as possible. Each life adds on to our previous lives. Mozart at a young age could do more than many adults who were much older. I believe this is because of his past lives and experiences with music. |
